Navarro Mosaic

I love this mosaic found on the riverwalk. Navarro was born in Bexar County (where one can find San Antonio) in 1795 and was active politically within the territory. He was one of the original signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence and once famously stated: "I have sworn to be a Texan. I shall not forswear." This mural is found at Navarro Street.

Only one out of the four of us is a native Texan. Can you guess which one?

  1. I like that mosaic too, just as you do.

I'll guess that Sonia is the native Texan in your group. Right?

  2. there seems to be a lot of tile mosaics there - i wonder if its an influence from the native indians of the past and their artistic crafts.

  3. Shorty was born and raised here. Sonia was born out of the country but you'd think she was born and raised here also! Good guesses!

  4. I like mosaics. When I have my dream castle, it will have mosaics.

  5. Born, bred, raised and gods willing I'll die here too. Some people laff, but I'm in love with my city, my state, and yes even my country.
