When we moved into our new house my brother in law, the former Master Gardener took out all the plantings and planted his own selections. This plant has really been flowering. He also planted a bird of paradise, and I had never seen those before a bit ago, but now I see them everywhere. I think these flowers also bloom in the Central Library garden.
Dang, where y'all been? I've been jonesin' for my daily SADP!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see ya back in action. Nice new template, and I have a lot of SADPs to catch up on now.
Jeez, I wish I could get a good taco here.
Could you tell me the name of this shrub? Mine came with the house I bought, it did well for 2 years, but seems to have died after this winter. I've got nothing but dry brown stalks.
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to know the name of this shrub. I was given several small ones (with no name) several years ago and although they die down during winter always come back bigger and better in spring. I love 'em and have collected their seeds to hopefully grow more. I'd like to get some growing info on them as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's called the Yellow Trumpet Vine.
ReplyDeletealso called esperanza
ReplyDeleteNot yellow trumpet vine, but yes to "esperanza." Two different things. This picture is clearly of an esperanza. One variety is Mayan Gold Esperanza. Beautiful!
