I saw this group on my way into work this morning. They were gliding smoothly along downtown and were checking out San Fernando Cathedral. I would really like to try the Segway and see how it feels. Girls, we should do this as one of our outtings!
You can check out a
directory of different cities offering these tours. Here's the one for
SA.
its interesting how these segways are slowly takig off - you see them here in Waikiki as well - as Ame of Santa Clara can atest to since she is visiting =)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to have a go on one of these one day! I've seen them on telly and in the movies, but not live yet.
ReplyDeleteWe should totally do this one day!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun =)
ReplyDeleteOkay Sarah. We'll do the tour and post pics here for folks to view.
ReplyDeleteWe had the most fun on two bike tours in Paris (night and day), and the tour people also offered Segway tours. . .a bit higher priced tour, but looked WAY fun. I would highly recommend this as a way to orient yourself to a new city, rather than taking a traditional bus or walking tour. There is a Segway dealer here in Seattle, but no tour service yet that I'm aware of.

Hi!
ReplyDeleteYep, Kala's right...I saw two guys on Segways in Waikiki...and I actually saw them two different times...once near our hotel and then down at Waikiki Shopping Center...I'd love to try one! Great photos! :-)
*hmmm* I wonder if you need a license for one of these things. :D
ReplyDeleteno shorty, you are set!
ReplyDeleteSet my behind! "I'll tumble for you" is probably what I'll do. *hehehe* I wonder what kind of ruckus a runaway Segway would cause. :D
ReplyDeleteremember shorty, we are all going to do it together! You have to go with us.
