Red Eye

Sarah, Sonia and I saw this bird on our walk along the river on one of our outtings. His red eyes are a little creepy.

  1. Cool bird, never seen anything like it before. I guess without the red eyes he (or she) wouldn't be as interesting.

  4. Thanks everyone. I don't know what he is. I just know he's kinda creepy and devilish with the eyes.

  5. Had to look it up since I'm a bit of a bird watcher. It is a yellow-crowned night heron. The red eyes do look a little demented but probably another heron of the same kind would find them charming.

  7. Oh you're such a romantic Thiên. Maybe the red eyes give it better night vision—it being a night heron and all [Thanks for the look up Louz]. I'm thinking infrared, but maybe I watch too much scifi. :D
