Funny Sight to See

I am not sure what this building is but I just had to have a shot. Didn't have time to stop and find out. You should have seen the movement of the truck as my friend tried to pull over after I yelled oh please stop by there so I can shoot that! I do that a lot now. I wish I could win the lottery, quit my job, craft and travel around SA for shots. ;)

  1. LOL

This is so cool. There is a place in my town that has a pink pig on their roof. I think it advertises a butcher shop. I'll have to take a shot tomorrow.

  3. This has got to be a school, and the naughty kids have quiet time in the piggy... Whatever it is, it's so fun! No, the piggy is the entrance to a secret hideaway where everybody can slosh in mud... ???

  7. If I'm not mistaken it's a local eatery called the Pig Stand. I was wondering aloud what this was too, when one of the other passengers in the truck we were riding in (along with SADPer's Thiên and Soñia) said "It's a Pig Stand, look at the sign". I took some quick photos of it too—I'll see if anything you all are requesting showed up in my shots and post.

  8. Thien, I do this, too! When I shoot something I don't understand, I go home and find that Google is my friend. I Googled "pig San Antonio" image, and came up with an answer: this is supposedly the world famous Pig Stand eatery. But the comments mention it being a drive up stand in the past, so perhaps it's recycled kitsch.

  9. Thanks Kim! I was so busy in my DP blog mind that I didn't even hear Sonia and Shorty talk about it. Silly me. Okay everyone, we'll go and investigate and we'll snap better angles of the mural. The piggy would make a good place to have a snow cone shop. Those are popular here.

  10. That's just like me yelling to me husband to stop, lower the windscreen (to prevent reflections) and then you can see ppl staring at us (or the object I am taking photos of) what the bleep is she doing?
