Pete's Tako House

Pete's Tako House
Pete's Tako House is a great place to stop and have a bite. It's located on this little bitty island with barely any parking so get there early or later. The wait staff and owner are great. He'll come out to meet and greet. He seems to know his customers on a first name basis. I've eaten their migas and loved them. I've been meaning to try their fideo, but I haven't had the chance. I also love their lemonade.

Migas Plate from Pete's Tako House

Migas Plate
Pete's Tako House has been blogged on this site before, but this is a shot of one of their menu selections. I like Migas. The best I've ever had have been at Pete's, right after homemade ones of course. Today we stopped on the way after dropping the kids off at school. I have all my favorite eating places programmed into my phone so we called ahead and ordered it to go. When my sister was waiting for the food inside I waited outside in the car. I saw some lady having an altercation with the phone. Apparently she was not happy that the phone had eaten or money or something to that effect. She was beating up on it. When my sister got back with the food she said she also had a story to tell. She said some guy and girl were arguing back and forth about whether or not one of them would get in the car. Apparently the male did not and the girl peeled out in the car with a baby in it. I realized that I had seen this boy too as he walked down the middle of a very busy street. That was some start to the day I tell you. :D

Pope Mobile at Pete's

chicken art
This is an interior shot of Pete's Tako House. My sister and I did lunch here. I had the chicken caldo and noticed the Pope shot on the wall. I've been here before but I don't think I've ever seen that photo. I do remember the visit, not that I was anywhere near it, but I remember all the hoopla around it. Currently one of the local news station is running some kind of advert that includes people's reaction to the Pope's visit. If I'm not mistaken one of the newest schools either already built or being built is being named after the Pope of that visit--I just can't remember if it's a middle or high school

Pete's

Pete's Tako House on Main St just north of downtown is a great place for breakfast or lunch. They have the best refried beans, and if you ask them nicely, they will still make the (breakfast) Migas plate for your lunch. Delicious!
