Walk it

This is one side of a bridge that is located along the San Antonio River, behind the Central Library and next to the Southwest Craft Center. There's a pedestrian walkway next to the vehicle lanes and since this area has been recently landscaped along the river down below, it makes a great getaway during lunchtime or break.

  1. I love this bridge! We should take a photo of the wooden pedistrian part sometime too.

  2. I like this bridge too, there are more further into downtown. I remember walking them with my Mom when I was way young. This one always scares me when I cross it because the timber is kind of rickety and I always think what would happen if I fell though. :O

  4. Great bridge - I'm enjoying getting to know your city through your blog! (I've never even been to Texas before!)

  5. Shorty, at least if you fall through you would land in the water below! It's deep enough there.

We're very happy to share our part of Texas with everyone.

  6. It is interesting that it is wooden, like it was built separately from the other part of the bridge or as an afterthought? Even if they were built at the same time, neat to have choosen something different.
