Air Life

Here's a pic of the Air Life helicopter on it's helipad. It's right next to the library so you can always hear it coming in. I tell you if you are in serious trouble you want one of these babies to pick you up and take you to a hospital real quick—but boy...will you pay for it.

/me waves hello to our newest contributor, Hi SoƱ-C.

  2. Here you pay for EVERYTHING. Even the bandaids in ER. I was a game at the AT&T Center and stopped at FirstAid for bandaids and they make you fill out a form about your injury. But at least it was free.

  3. Yes, the wonderful U.S. health care system.

I had a cut on my finger, had it glued back together in the Emergency Room (took about 10 minutes) and the bill was $700. No kidding. My insurance covered about $540 of that, and I had to pay the rest.

    Sad.

  4. I've been to hospital about three times this week and haven't paid anything other than what I pay in taxes - quite a relief really too. I thought it was so expensive in the US to cover doctors' insurance bills.

    Anyway, nice post
