Alameda Girl

Alameda Girl
If you get a chance, stop by the Central Library Gallery and check out the current exhibit. It's called Sabor Botero and contains paintings by a local San Antonio artist by the name of Gilbert Duran. I love this particular painting.

  1. Gilbert Duran's style is much different than the one of wildlife that I currently have on my wall. This is it.

Gilbert Duran signed Lithograph 102/500 measures 25 x 33 inches with all wood frame with glass. Dark brown stained wood. Unsure of the type of wood frame. Main colors are more of a country blue with a few pale pink flowers on the cacti. Two quail sit atop the cacti and a smaller quail below the cacti.

Would this be the same artist's work?

  3. I have a picture signed by Gilbert Duran that is about 4ft. x 3ft. It is lovely and depicts morning doves. Is this also the work of Gilbert Duran of San Antonio Texas?
    Thanks,

  4. Yes. That is an early print when he had a job at a Store called Winn's in the 70's

  5. Wrong. He was already a professional, full-time artist when that painting of mourning doves was done and had an art gallery in Alamo Heights.
