Fiesta Tower




The Fiesta Tower, a glass sculpture by artist Dale Chihuly installed a few years ago at the library. It looks so different in different lights, we will try others at different times. This one is in the bright morning sun.

    The "Fiesta Tower" armature weighs approximately 1,000 lbs. The glass parts (in mock-up) weigh approximately 3,500 lbs. The total weight of the sculpture (glass and armature (in mock-up) is approximately 4,500 lbs.

    The height of the tower is 20 feet, 8 inches. The total height of the tower (from the floor to the top of the glass is 26 feet, 10 inches.

    There are 917 glass parts in the tower. The average length of each glass part is 3 feet.
