Augusta Street Bridge

Hi folks! I'm the new guy - actually, the only guy. I'd like to thank Thien and Shorty for letting me join in all the fun!

This is a photo of the logo of the Berlin Iron Bridge Company, who built the Augusta Street Bridge in 1890 - with a big bank building looming in the background.

  3. EGGscellent start there Tex. Who needs to be introed when you did such a great job yourself. Great photo. I don't think I've ever noticed that part of the bridge. I'm always focused on the board and my fear that one day they will rot out totally and I will fall through the bridge and into the river—which is why I hang on to the rail most times, I figure I can clutch on to the rail and save myself a dip.

  4. Hi Tex, welcome to the DP club and thanks for wanting to join us. We hope you have fun!

Love this photo you have posted. It is so nice to have it right behind the library so we can see it all the time. I'm with Shorty, those boards are a bit troubling at times.
