Cool bird, never seen anything like it before. I guess without the red eyes he (or she) wouldn't be as interesting.
this is a beautiful looking bird - I wonder what the biological evolution purpose was for the red eyes - very nice photo Thien!

Oh you're such a romantic Thiên. Maybe the red eyes give it better night vision—it being a night heron and all [Thanks for the look up Louz]. I'm thinking infrared, but maybe I watch too much scifi. :D
