Riverwalk at the Hilton Palacio
This is where I like to go if I plan to take a river barge tour with visitors from out of town. It's a little less crowded in terms of restaurants and people so to me it's very peaceful. Plus I love the green trees. That's the Hilton on the left. It was library conferencing time last week so we went to meet some friends for a drink there. We sat inside, one floor above the riverwalk and it was really a nice spot to watch activities down on the river.
Wonderfully colourful. The Riverwalk is a splendid area of San Antonio.
ReplyDeleteI remember the Riverwalk from 27 years ago. It was super hot and humid the time we were there and the walk area was off limits at night as there was so much crime there then. I assume that has been changed by now.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful feature of San Antonio and one that should bring a lot of tourists. That and the Alamo, of course. I like your photograph a lot.
I just posted a story about my wife's last radiation treatment, for breast cancer, and then our walk afterwards in Nature, and our encounter with President Bush's airplane.

That brings back a lot of nice memories...Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kate and Isabella. I'm glad you like the photo. You too Abraham. Crime is under control for the most part on the riverwalk these days. And we are enjoying the nice weather while we can before those super hot and humid days and nights are upon us.
ReplyDeleteWell, it is good news to learn that crime is down and people are safe to use River walk at night or in the evening. We were there in the worst possible month -- August.
ReplyDeleteI came to thank you for visiting my blog, yesterday, and for your comments about Patty's last radiation treatment. She was so pleased that I heard from so many people, including Eric, and I know it made her day extra-special. She was also surprised that some of you also visited her blog and left comments there. So thank you for your visit and comments. Being new to the community, it was a big surprise to us. Thanks again.
