What do you think this is?
This was just installed at the Central Library last week. Do you know what it is? I will post an explanation this week. And Edwin S. of Kuala Lumpur DP asked about our blog description. We are indeed now "two gals and a guy" b/c Sarah has moved on and is no longer posting. However, as she created the blog, we haven't figured out how to remove her from the permission list.
It's a bike rack, of course. Although they come in handy for holding umbrellas as well.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm just guessing.

I am thinking of a bike rack.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments on my blog. I do appreciate them. I hope you will find something there again soon.

Oh well you can lock there your monkey or little pony. Or, if a modern sculpture, it could be everything: even a mexican sunset ;-)
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Let us know what it is.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what it is. Look forward to the explanation :)
ReplyDeleteA bike rack? Wow, really cool. Is it, really?
ReplyDeleteHello everyone, it is indeed a bike rack. I have yet to see any bikes attached to it, but I'm sure once people figure out what it is, they will use it. Someone mentioned that a sign might be placed there to let people know it can be used and that it is not just art. It's artistically functional or functionally artistic. Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks more like art than a bike rack.
ReplyDeletesome of the uprights have holes and some haven't. It looks a bit flimsy from the photograph but there isn't much to scale it by.
Hi Gerald, it's actually pretty sturdy. I pulled/pushed on some of them. And they are bolted into the ground with some heavy duty nuts and bolts.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure if it was inside or outside the building but on closer inspection it looks more to be more obviously outside.
ReplyDeleteThe answer to the puzzle on Hyde DP will be revealed next Sunday
I think the holes in the bike rack are for people to use those chains to lock the bike through the wheel and the holes.
ReplyDeleteNot sure but I would use the holes for that.
